Today, the University of Xalapa and the Universidad de Liubliana take center stage as they speak to local news outlets during a highly anticipated press conference about the groundbreaking project, MDinGBV. This initiative is not just a milestone for the campuses involved but a significant step forward for the surrounding communities in tackling one of today’s most pressing issues: gender-based violence.
The MDinGBV project aims to strengthen the academic communities of Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to combat gender-based violence effectively. A key element of this effort is the development of a Master Degree in Gender-Based Violence, which will empower university students and future professionals to:
Define and identify gender-based violence,
Address, prevent, and mitigate its effects, and
Contribute meaningfully to fostering safer, more equitable societies.
